Little sneak peak of the dreamiest in home newborn Little sneak peak of the dreamiest in home newborn session in Gympie today. It was absolutely beautiful ❤️
When 2 photographers wait 6 weeks for the perfect When 2 photographers wait 6 weeks for the perfect shooting conditions, only to end up with a super windy day again! 😂 we rolled with it anyway - It pushed me into pockets I wouldn’t normally use and I’m so glad it did ✨ It’s good to be prepared and visualise a shoot but I also love seeing how it unfolds naturally on the day, there’s always something great that’s unexpected.

It was such an honour shooting the incredibly talented @linzierussophoto and her family. You can’t fake a bond like this and they were so much fun ❤️ I’m forever grateful for the trust (and patience haha) you guys give me! Pinch me that this is my job ✨
Ok let’s try this again.. reposting for the 5th Ok let’s try this again.. reposting for the 5th time to fix some nudie bums 😅

This was the most beautiful home birth, and I missed it! Yep. When I walked through the doors to their home I heard baby August crying and couldn’t believe it. When Amy called me to come straight over, there was not an inch of pain in her voice. Their birth was incredible, I haven’t heard or seen anything like it. How amazing it was to walk in and see her surrounded by all those beautiful children.

Here are Amy’s words below ❤️

When I think back to August's birth, I'm still so perplexed as to how it all happened and how I basically just woke up and started pushing without labouring awake beforehand. When I dreamt about bubs birth during pregnancy this is how it always happened - I would wake up and start pushing and bub would be born very quickly on their due date, which just happened to coincide with a full moon. In my thoughts though no one made it on time for the birth (the midwife and photographer) and I birthed with just jase and the kids. It didn't quite turn out that way, as the midwife made it to see the body come out, but upon reflection I realise she made it there for Jase. Bub had a necklace cord when born (cord was around his neck, but was very loose like a necklace), and was pretty purple and did take a moment to land earthside. I didn't realise that jase was terrified when he saw bub born and the midwife was the one to reassure him that everything was OK, so I really believe she made it on time for him. And I'm OK with that.

I felt no fear during this birth and fully surrendered to every sensation, I felt the pain during the pushing and I leaned into it as I truly believe that the only way forward is through. I lost track of time and my surroundings - I was completely in a different place. And as baby was born a part of the old me died, and a new piece of me was also born. I absolutely loved this birth and will relive this day for a very long time 🌕
When I get emails like ‘I’ve been following yo When I get emails like ‘I’ve been following you for a long time and I know this is last minute BUT can you do a shoot at the Gold Coast before our holiday ends… it’s a big YES from me. If I can do it, I will make it happen (so please don’t be shy to ask!) I’m so glad we made this work… the stars aligned perfectly ✨ These guys were so precious, so much love and joy ❤️ moments like this fills my cup more than you probably realise. With 4 kids… it’s just that little bit of ME identity that I need to feel somewhat sane and I’ve learned to balance work/mum life so well that it’s never a burden. So ask ask ask away!!
